Sound the Alarm before it is too late!

Worldview ideology is critical to the future of Judeo-Christian foundations within our Culture.  Within this post I will be taking a great deal of info from a article that I have recently read and I feal it is very important to share.  This article was written by Dan Smithwick the President of the Nehemiah Institute in Lexington Ky.  The institute has developed a biblical worldview assessment tool.  This tool is designed to reflect an individual's basic worldview position in five key areas of life: Politics, Economics, Education, Religion and Social Issues
(P-E-E-R-S).  The test is broken into 4 worldview categories-Biblical Theism, Moderate Christian, Secular Humanism and Socialism. The institute has been tracking results from this testing for over 20 years now and from approximately 60,000 students, and the results are very eye opening to say the least.  Without getting into the percentages which can all be viewed from their website.  If we continue at the same rate of decline with the specific PEERS results, by the year 2014 for youth in public schools and by 2018 in traditional Christian schools we will have the next generation of leaders in this country and I might add around the world firmly grounded  in the basic tenets of Humanism and or Socialism.  One might ask how does this affect me, of what value does this info offer to me?  The value is that, if we do not do something about this we could be looking at a major collapse within the Christian Church and enormous changes within our Culture in the first half of the 21st century.
I am an eternal optimist and I truly believe that we can do all things through Christ which strengthens us.  Therefore the alarm is still sounding and it has not stopped ringing yet.  We all as Christian parents and mentors of Youth have an obligation to continue to instruct and instill Godly principles and values which will lead to a Biblical Theism worldview and not one of Secular Humanism and or worse Socialism.  I will continue to stand firm in my belief in Homeschooling but also understanding the role that traditional Christian schools play.  I will continue to remind myself everyday that my number one purpose in life concerning my Children is to ensure a Godly upbringing centered in Jesus Christ.  In closing I would encourage others to check out this enclosed link to the Nehemiah Institute for further info regarding their ministry and purpose. God Bless!
